Check a mailbox username
This checker runs in your browser. It does not send the username to the server or confirm whether an address is available.
Use 1–20 ASCII letters and/or digits in any order. Spaces and symbols are not allowed. This is a format check, not an availability check.
Need an idea?
Generate suggestions in the same style as the standard inbox: a familiar name plus a number from 1–100. Use Locked Inbox if you want a temporary exclusive claim.
Two ways to use a temporary inbox
The homepage is the standard mode. It is fast and has no exclusive username claim: messages belong to the email address, so anyone who knows or guesses the same address may see its messages. Do not treat the address as a password.
Locked Inbox is a separate mode. It reserves an available address to one browser session while its page sends heartbeats. The claim ends after inactivity and has a hard three-hour maximum. A claim prevents other Locked Inbox sessions from claiming that same address during the active lease, but does not make the service end-to-end encrypted or suitable for secrets.
Choose the mode that fits the task. Use standard mode for convenience and low-risk tests; use Locked Inbox when you want a short exclusive claim. Keep sensitive or recoverable accounts on a mailbox you control long-term.
How to choose a username
- Allowed format: 1–20 ASCII letters and/or digits, in any order.
- Reserved values: administrative and service names are blocked to avoid confusion and abuse.
- Standard-style suggestions: the generator uses a familiar name plus a number from 1–100, matching the homepage format.
- Availability: format checks run locally. A standard username can refer to a shared address; Locked Inbox checks whether an exclusive claim is currently active.
Limits to understand
Locked claims depend on a browser cookie and the page staying active. Clearing site data or changing browser profiles may end your access. The maximum claim is three hours; after it ends, another visitor may claim that address. Neither mode should be used for banking, healthcare, important account recovery, or confidential information.
